2020...wow!!!

Hello Everyone,
I haven't posted in quite some time.
This year has been pretty crazy.
I'm sure we all have some interesting stories to tell:)
We celebrated the new year, and looked forward to great things ahead.
Feb. 4th, we left Nashville on a cross country trip.
Visiting friends and relatives, seeing lots of new places.  It was a great adventure.
March hit, and Covid 19 was showing up in a big way.
Long story short, we ended up sheltering in place with family in Eureka, CA for 2 months.
Our 2 month trip turned in to 5 months.
We finally made it home to Nashville on July 3!
Through it all we learned a lot.
Some great things happened.
We made the most of the time we had.
I was so grateful for the opportunity to slow down.
I enjoyed the downtime tremendously.
Time to just be. A moment of peace and quiet.
My hubby and I enjoyed lots of time together:)
Enjoyed my favorite shows.
Talked with family and friends on the phone.
Checked in with people back home in Nashville.
Enjoyed lots of face time and zoom meetings.
Went for walks on the beach.
Spent time with our daughter and grand daughter.
Enjoyed good food, laughter, and a cozy hot tub.
Played board games, spent time reading my Bible and praying.
Wrote in my journal.
Did a bunch of live posts on Facebook.
Shared my thoughts, songs from the piano, and just tried to encourage people.
Anyway, all of that to say that I'm truly grateful for the experience.
When we got back to Nashville, I found a job right away.
I also helped our grandson with virtual learning for the first 9 weeks of school.
So thankful that I had the moment of peace when I did.
Our grandson is back to school in the building...he loves it...1st grade!
I have a bit more free time in my day now.
Through all the ups and downs of this year, I am grateful.
My hope is that we won't lose sight of what is really important.
This year has shown us what really matters.
I would LOVE to hear from you.
What have you learned this year?
How have you survived?
What are your thoughts...feelings?
Let's keep in touch.
Let's be there for each other.
Well, great to connect.
I love and appreciate you all so very much!

Enjoy your journey,

Carolyn Rose Wilson

Happy New Year!!!

Hi there,
Can't believe it's 2015!
Guess I'll just jump right in.
My life has been a bit of a roller coaster these days.
I turned 44 this month, and despite the ups and downs of the past number of months,
I'm so thankful for so many things.
I've got an amazing husband of nearly 25 years.
Our oldest daughter just got engaged on New Year's Eve, and she is in Israel for the next few months.
Our youngest daughter is working hard, caring for our adorable grandson, and dealing with her own ups and downs for sure.
The truth is I feel a little overwhelmed.
I'm usually the glass half full kind of person, but lately my glass has felt pretty empty.
Don't really have any answers, just know that my heart is heavy these days.
Most days I'm just trying to juggle a bunch of mixed emotions, and I'm really not that great at juggling.
Anyway, I know we all have our struggles.  Good times and bad.
Through it all, I know that God is with me.
He is my peace in the middle of the storm.
I hope the same for you.
Whatever you are going through.  May you know His peace.
A peace that goes above and beyond our understanding.
Until we meet again.
Blessings and hope for all that is to come.

Long time no blog!!!

Hello All,

It's been wayyy too long since I've posted on here.
Life is good, and we've had lots of changes around our household.
We celebrated 11 years in Nashville in August.  Hard to believe.
Our daughters are doing very well these days.  Our oldest is living in CA,
and is part of an internship program at a church there.  She's really loving it.
Our youngest is married, and working hard, and enjoying life.
My sweet husband of 22 years is working on all kinds of writing projects.
We're looking forward to what's next for us, and so thankful for all the blessings
in our lives.
As for music, I wrote a song with two of my best friends.  It's my first real "cut" on
an album, and I can't wait to hear the finished product.  So excited and thankful.
I'm heading in to the studio to finish a new album.  I've written a number of songs
over the years, but there are quite a few that I've never had the chance to record.
That's what this new album will consist of, and I can't wait to share it with everyone!
Guess that's about it for now.
Hope you are all doing well, and hope you are enjoying journey.
My prayer is that you find those things that you are most passionate about, and live
each day with value and purpose.
Please comment etc...I love to hear from you!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hello,
Thought I would touch base with everyone.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration.
Our family relaxed and enjoyed a very quiet Christmas.
It was really great to wake up on Christmas morning, and just take it slow.
We opened our stockings, had yummy blueberry muffins and coffee...nice.
Next we opened our gifts.
The rest of the day was spent just hanging out together.
We spent some time with our friends later on.
I'm so thankful for all that happened this last year.
Now I'm really looking forward to all that God has planned for 2010!
My hope and prayer for you is to live this year with passion and purpose.
May this year be filled with all kinds of amazing adventures.
Keep in touch when you can.
I always LOVE to hear from you.
Let me know what's going on in your world.

Here's to an outstanding new year!
