2020...wow!!!

Hello Everyone,
I haven't posted in quite some time.
This year has been pretty crazy.
I'm sure we all have some interesting stories to tell:)
We celebrated the new year, and looked forward to great things ahead.
Feb. 4th, we left Nashville on a cross country trip.
Visiting friends and relatives, seeing lots of new places.  It was a great adventure.
March hit, and Covid 19 was showing up in a big way.
Long story short, we ended up sheltering in place with family in Eureka, CA for 2 months.
Our 2 month trip turned in to 5 months.
We finally made it home to Nashville on July 3!
Through it all we learned a lot.
Some great things happened.
We made the most of the time we had.
I was so grateful for the opportunity to slow down.
I enjoyed the downtime tremendously.
Time to just be. A moment of peace and quiet.
My hubby and I enjoyed lots of time together:)
Enjoyed my favorite shows.
Talked with family and friends on the phone.
Checked in with people back home in Nashville.
Enjoyed lots of face time and zoom meetings.
Went for walks on the beach.
Spent time with our daughter and grand daughter.
Enjoyed good food, laughter, and a cozy hot tub.
Played board games, spent time reading my Bible and praying.
Wrote in my journal.
Did a bunch of live posts on Facebook.
Shared my thoughts, songs from the piano, and just tried to encourage people.
Anyway, all of that to say that I'm truly grateful for the experience.
When we got back to Nashville, I found a job right away.
I also helped our grandson with virtual learning for the first 9 weeks of school.
So thankful that I had the moment of peace when I did.
Our grandson is back to school in the building...he loves it...1st grade!
I have a bit more free time in my day now.
Through all the ups and downs of this year, I am grateful.
My hope is that we won't lose sight of what is really important.
This year has shown us what really matters.
I would LOVE to hear from you.
What have you learned this year?
How have you survived?
What are your thoughts...feelings?
Let's keep in touch.
Let's be there for each other.
Well, great to connect.
I love and appreciate you all so very much!

Enjoy your journey,

Carolyn Rose Wilson
